Community Mushroom Farming

Join Mario and the team from Mycobee Mushrooms for a hands-on introduction to community mushroom farming.

These two-hour workshops will guide you through simple, sustainable techniques for growing mushrooms at home or in your garden. Each session focuses on a different method, and events are listed separately so you can choose the technique that interests you most.

Across the series, you’ll be introduced to the fascinating world of fungi and the practice of mushroom cultivation (fungiculture). You’ll learn what mushrooms are, why they are vital for our ecosystems, and how they contribute to soil health and regeneration.

Mario will also explore how community mushroom farming can go beyond sustainability and support regenerative approaches that help restore soil and strengthen the ecosystems we all depend on.

Topics covered across the sessions include:

  • Types of fungi used in cultivation
  • A variety of practical growing techniques
  • The role of fungi in soil restoration and ecological health
